A finished product can only be as good as the raw materials from which it is made.  B.E. Hassett-Millwrights has extensive contacts for the raw materials needed for mill repair, restoration and reconstruction.

Especially important is the use of properly selected, harvested, milled and weathered wood products.  Often, the procurement and preparation of the raw materials needed for authentic restorations and repairs is more time consuming than the repair itself.   

Hassett Millwrights has established sources for the species and dimensions of lumber found in period mill work.
